After the design of architect Lazarov in 1912 began the construction of the National Theatre in Varna. The building was finished in 1932. . It stands opposite the cathedral on the main pedestrian alley. In the same building are the Opera and the Philharmonic. Its foundations were laid by theater actors of the French army during the Crimean war of 1856.
