On the way from the Archeological to the Ethnographic museum you will walk through pedestrian area, lined by imposing architectural buildings dating back to the end of the 19th C and the beginning of the 20th C. One of them is the building of the Military club, built following the design of Todor Boyadzhiev, a military engineer, which combines elements from a different of styles: Renaissance, Baroque and Classicism. The National Bank (now the District Council of Varna) dates back to the same time. The design belongs to architect Herman Mayer who chose Italian Renaissance style for that building. In 1889 the Clock Tower, near the central square, which shows the right time even today, was built following the design of arch. Sava Dimitrievich.
